If you are tight you will only get tighter with age. Especially if you are doing intense cardio: running, power walking, swimming, biking, or converse to that living a very sedentary lifestyle; sitting at the computer, sitting in your car, sitting in front of the television, all that sitting will wreak havoc on your body. If you do nothing about that tightness you will eventually encounter difficulties with your hips, knees, back and other joints in the body. A regular yoga asana practice will help loosen up those muscles, strengthen your body and keep your joints healthy and mobile. Through consistent practice you will become more flexible and ultimately feel much better.
